Red Arrow would be lost without the people that give their time. Whether it is coaching, refereeing, field maintenance, snacks for games etc it's all important. You do not need know soccer to help either. If you want to coach we will help anyone with basic drills for practices and game planning. What you really need to have is patience, understanding and a willingness to teach and maybe learn a little too.

Each season has so much to do with only a few volunteers. In the coming months we will post our needs for help. This will better allow you to see what it takes to run RASA and where you can fit in. Also we will post the names and areas in which others are helping.

Listed below are some areas that we usually need help with.

  • Coaches
  • Referees
  • Division Heads
  • Fields at Chikaming
  • Pictures
  • Trophies
  • Sponsors
  • Uniforms
  • Fund Raisers
  • Equipment
  • Sign Ups

Please contact anyone on the board with questions or offers of help!!

Red Arrow "Adopt-a-Field"

We have up to 12+ soccer fields that need to be maintained. We are looking for volunteers to adopt ONE field each for the season. These fields have been maintained by 1 to 2 helpful fathers and their families for the past 6 or 7 seasons. Now they are asking for some help.

Items for maintaining the FIELDS would be as follows:

  • Setting up lines and painting them for the season. (mowing of the painted lined area from time to time)

  • Putting up and taking down nets before and after the season. Also repairing nets if needed (falling down from cross bar, staking them back in ground, etc.)

  • Mowing the grass in the goal area under the net (the schools will not mow that area) and trim grass around goal posts.

  • Fill holes or level mounds that kids, animals, etc may make and removing sticks, golf balls or other items to make the field safe for play.

After the nets are up and the lines are set the time needed to do this is usually about an hour a week. This can be done around your schedule as long as you check with the school before you do anything during school hours and as long as the field is ready for game day. We will make sure that you receive all the information and support to do this.

Remember R.A.S.A is a volunteer organization and we need your help to keep it running.

Thank you for your help and time!
